Release of the ScanCenter NG 2020.2

Update for RangeVision 3D-scanners ScanCenter NG 2020.2 is available for download.

What’s new in ScanCenter NG 2020.2:

Calibration and scanning:

• Camera focus assessment during calibration is added

• The function of linking the heating temperature of cameras during scanning to the temperature of the cameras during calibration is added

• New scanning mode with markers on the automatic turntable is added

Scan data alignment:

• Stability of the final alignment by geometry is improved

• Automatic alignment algorithm for meshes converted from CAD surfaces is optimized

• The "Alignment by selection" option for the final alignment is added

• The metric of the alignment accuracy of each mesh is introduced and displayed in the Project Manager

Selection:

• Selection algorithm for meshes converted from CAD surfaces is improved

• Border selection function is improved

Measurements:

• The location of dimension lines in the scene has been optimized

Visualization:

• The size of the 3D scene for working with meshes up to 20 meters is optimized

• Visualization of triangle edges and mesh boundaries is added

Processing:

• "Cut background" function is improved

• A new function "Selective hole filling" is added

New version ScanCenter NG 2020.2 is already available for all RangeVision users. The update can be downloaded directly within the software or on support.rangevision.com.
