Automatic scanning

With one click, set a scanning scenario, then watch on the screen in real time as your object is digitized in great detail. The scanner is automatically calibrated and ready to work in a few seconds. One full scan cycle of an object takes about one minute.

Textured 3D models with high detail

Simply place the object on the turntable — RangeVision Quant will accurately convey the texture and fine details of your object thanks to the synchronization of the two-axis rotation system and 6-megapixel cameras. The scanning accuracy is up to 30 microns.

Convenient software with ready-made scanning scenarios

RV 3D Studio software makes it easy to digitize objects even if you have no experience with 3D scanners. Universal scanning mode

  • Automatic scanning on a two-axis turntable

    It is enough to fix the object on the turntable and start scanning, and Quant will scan it from dozens of angles from several angles. The operator's participation in the process is not required.

Software Features

Extensive 3D model processing capabilities

The program allows you to significantly improve the 3D model before exporting by using several tools:

  • Automatic manual stitching with and without markers
  • Filling the voids
  • Smoothing surfaces
  • Simplification of the 3D model, reduction of the number of triangles
  • Correction of grid defects
  • Automatic removal of small artifacts, noise, etc.

Automatic scanning scripts

Before starting work, you can adjust the number of scanning angles, tilt angles and the number of revolutions of the slide table. These settings can be saved as a ready-made script and later used to automate streaming scanning of the same type of objects.

Built-in geometry control

The built-in inspection control of the geometry between two grids allows you to visualize discrepancies in the form of a color map and take measurements at each individual point of the inspected 3D grid.

The final selection stitching option is designed for local alignment of several grids over a selected area and is useful for alignment between the reference and inspected grids according to the basic geometry.

Convenient export of the scene image allows you to save both the results of measurements performed and the results of constructing conventional and textured models in the main custom 2D graphics formats — JPEG, PNG, BMP, PDF with the ability to select the image resolution.

RV 3D Studio allows you to export 3D models in the most popular formats: OBJ, PLY, STL, PTX, ASCII, OFF.

The function of importing CAD files in the universal STP format with automatic grid triangulation ensures the connection of RV 3D Studio with 3D modeling systems.
