The first Russian hand-held 3D scanner with blue lasers

Scans any surface in any light with constant accuracy

RangeVision Helix is an affordable innovation

Impressive functionality of a metrological scanner at an affordable cost

High precision and detail

High-quality electronic filling in combination with reliable RangeVision algorithms provides accuracy up to 35 microns and detail up to 0.15 mm. Helix is in the process of metrological testing and will appear in the SI registry in the first quarter of 2025.

Any objects in any light

The bright blue laser allows you to scan black and shiny surfaces without using a matting spray. Thanks to the light filters on the cameras, scanning can be performed under any ambient lighting conditions.

Fast scanning with 7 lines

High-speed cameras capture up to 200 frames per second. The 7-line mode allows you to capture up to 1.2 million points per second, significantly reducing the time for digitizing objects.

Deep scan with 1 line

A single laser line penetrates deeply into recesses, grooves, holes and internal cavities of objects. The thin and focused beam allows you to capture the smallest details on the surface with minimal noise.

Switching modes on the fly

Buttons and indicators on the scanner allow you to switch modes and control settings (appearance, brightness and number of lines) during the scanning process.

Helix solves the tasks of high-precision digitization

  • 3D modelling and 3D printing
    3D modelling and 3D printing
The resulting polygonal models are so accurate that, after optimization, they can be immediately inserted into a three-dimensional scene or sent to print.
  • Digital archiving
    Digital archiving
An accurate and detailed digital copy of the object will be obtained in a non-contact, careful way.
  • Prototyping and design
    Prototyping and design
Digitization of parts and assemblies to improve them, facilitate the design, and develop related parts and objects.
  • Contactless measurements
    Contactless measurements
As an officially registered type of measuring instrument, the Helix 3D scanner allows you to measure dilapidated or precision objects that cannot be touched, from printed circuit boards to priceless museum exhibits, without contact and with an accuracy of up to 35 microns.
  • Quality control
    Quality control
The metrological accuracy of the Helix scanner allows you to compare the resulting 3D model of the product with the standard to identify deviations that are invisible to the human eye due to manufacturing errors, wear and damage.
  • Reverse engineering
    Reverse engineering
The Helix 3D scanner easily digitizes objects with complex geometries, allowing you to obtain their CAD models much faster in the future compared to modeling from scratch.

Software Features

Using saved marker reference networks

The use of ready-made marker substrates significantly speeds up and simplifies the scanning of objects of comparable size. The reference network of such a substrate can be saved and then simply loaded before starting work.

Built-in geometry control

The built-in inspection control of the geometry between two grids allows you to visualize discrepancies in the form of a color map and take measurements at each individual point of the inspected 3D grid.

The final selection stitching option is designed for local alignment of several grids over a selected area and is useful for alignment between the reference and inspected grids according to the basic geometry.

Convenient export of the scene image allows you to save both the results of measurements performed and the results of constructing conventional and textured models in the main custom 2D graphics formats — JPEG, PNG, BMP, PDF with the ability to select the image resolution.

RV 3D Studio allows you to export 3D models in the most popular formats: OBJ, PLY, STL, PTX, ASCII.

The function of importing CAD files in the universal STP format with automatic grid triangulation ensures the connection of RV 3D Studio with 3D modeling systems.
