RV 3D Studio 2024.1 has been released for the Helix 3D laser scanner. This version includes several dozen fixes. Here are the most important ones.
Added the function of changing the density of points both during creation and inside the project. Now each new scan can be made with the desired density: for example, to scan large parts, set a density of 0.7−1 mm, and scan small parts in more detail, and all this in one project. The density indication of groups and scans will work in future releases.

The calibration process has been improved: the algorithm has been fixed and internal calibration quality control has been added, which prevents scanning from starting until the scanner is calibrated.
Scanning has become more comfortable and stable: data collection and visualization algorithms, marker and laser line recognition, mode indication and widget operation have been improved, some bugs have been fixed, and control buttons have become more responsive.
