This release focuses on improving the convenience and effectiveness of working with the Helix handheld 3D scanner. Key innovations — audio tracking, hiding camera views, improved marker recognition, and filtering unreliable geometry — are aimed at improving the convenience and accuracy of scanning.
A significant part of the improvements is devoted to increasing the stability and predictability of the program. Dozens of bugs have been fixed, key algorithms for constructing models and textures have been optimized, and logging has been improved for operational analysis of possible problems.
Added:- Added audio indication of focal length and tracking loss for Helix;
- A Preview mode has been added on Helix to pre-configure the scanner.;
- In the "Program Settings", the filtering of unreliable geometry has been added when scanning on Helix, which improves the quality of scans and reduces artifacts and noise.;
- Added a timer to warm up the cameras before scanning;
- The "removing brightness spikes" setting has been added (the program settings are "advanced tab"), which allows you to get better results when scanning contrasting color surfaces.;
- Added the ability to save different support networks within the same project.;
- A button has been added to hide camera views when scanning on Helix. This allows you to increase the display area of the 3D scene and the scanned object on the screen.;
- Added the ability to crop geometry by markers in the "Clipping and Alignment" function;
- Added visualization settings for the scan and the color of the 3D scene during scanning, allowing the user to set the color of the point cloud or mesh.;
- Added tooltips in the Project Manager.
Improved:- For ease of export, automatic selection of a single model in the project tree is implemented after completion of the process of its construction.;
- Improved logging of user actions, for analysis in case of errors;
- Improved marker recognition when scanning on Helix;
- The foreground selection function has been improved;
- Improved texture construction algorithm;
- Improved smoothness of movement in the 3D scene when scanning on Helix;
- Improved the function for determining the color and size of markers;
- Updated the list of keyboard shortcuts.
Fixed:- Fixed the value of the depth marker capture magnification factor for Helix. By default, fewer markers will be read, but accuracy will increase.;
- Eliminated the possibility to interrupt the process of "Saving a project as…" by closing the software;
- The default value of the additional projector delay for the Spectrum 2025 is now "40". According to the test results, this is the optimal value, which should allow you to immediately get good scanning results without adjusting this parameter, including when connecting cameras via a USB hub.;
- Fixed inaccuracies and typos in the user interface;
- The choice of marker size for laser and stationary scanners has been unified.;
- Fixed a bug with a message about changing the scanner model when updating the hardware status.;
- Fixed a bug with changing the brightness values of the projector via the widget for PRO II and PRIME;
- Fixed inaccuracies in the status bar when scanning on Helix;
- Fixed a bug with the return of visibility of project tree elements after the "Clipping and Alignment" function;
- Fixed a bug in navigation on the 3D scene when moving the software window between screens with different scaling.;
- Fixed a bug with software freezing after interrupting the axis evaluation process;
- Fixed a bug with software crash when using low resolution cameras;
- Fixed a memory leak when switching between tabs by;
- Fixed a bug with image splitting on camera views when scanning at a reduced resolution on Spectrum 2025;
- Fixed a bug with building a model with 0 triangles;
- Fixed a bug that allowed you to create a project with an unspecified marker size.;
- Fixed a bug with missing driver installation for Daheng cameras when installing RV 3D Studio.
